The debut of Ciklum at Belarusian IT Awards: Ciklum Minsk Team has got IT Award 2013 for the local IT-communities support and development!

For the first time Belarusian IT Awards ceremony took place in Minsk on the 28th of March 2014. This is an independent and open recognition project initiated by the leading Belarusian IT-professionals’ portal dev.by. The IT Awards are aimed to recognize and celebrate the most remarkable achievements of IT-professionals, IT-communities and IT-companies in 2013 in terms of their contribution to Belarusian IT-industry development.

According to Artem Kontsevoi (dev.by managing director) one of the most important aims of this initiative is to name and recognize the people standing behind the successful products and projects realized by Belarusian IT-companies in 2013; and also to recognize the professionals who have introduced innovative development practices and thus have moved Belarusian IT-industry forward.

22 nominations of IT Awards were announced in early February 2014 just before the open on-line promotion of nominees. There were 5 nominations for IT-companies: Grand Award for IT-industry development; Award for the local professional IT-communities development and support; Social Responsibility Award; Best IT-project for the Belarusian Market; IT HR-Brand 2013. And 18 nominations for IT-professionals: Ambassador of Quality Assurance, Ambassador of GUI, Ambassador of GameDev and etc. After a month of open online nominees promotion, independent IT-industry experts shortlisted the nominees in all categories and identified the list of finalists in each nomination. After that an online voting procedure was launched for almost a month. All votes were gathered via anonymous SMS voting and industry experts rating. Finally the winners were announced in every nomination on the 28th of March 2014. 

Ciklum Minsk has got the 2013 year IT-Award in the nomination “For the contribution to the local professional IT-communities development”. Our competitors in the nomination were such companies as Altoros, Sam Solutions and IT Staff.More details about Ciklum's debute at Belarusian IT Awards 2013

In 2013 Ciklum Minsk actively hosted and co-organized IT-communities’ meet-ups, sponsored local IT-conferences. One of Ciklum’s values is trust and transparency in everything we do. We are convinced that professional and personal development of our employees are impossible without open communication and free knowledge and experience exchange within broader IT-community.  In 2013 Ciklum Minsk Team organized more than 10 open educational events, hosted meet-ups of Minsk QA Club, Minsk GDG community, Unity School, hack4good hackathon and other IT-groups. In 2013 about 350 unique visitors took part in the open off-line Ciklum Management and Communication Practice Leaders meet-ups. This Ciklum initiative introduced new interesting trends in Agile practices to Belarusian IT managerial community. Open discussions, free experience exchange and innovative thinking – these are the principle of Ciklum Practice Leaders movement.
